About Our School

Malcolm X Shabazz High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school. Founded as South Side High School in 1914, the school was renamed in 1972 in memory of Malcolm X Shabazz.

Unique Fact

We have recently commissioned our Global Courtyard featuring brand new mural of Malcolm X by renowned artist B. Mike of New Orleans.
