About Our School

At Mount Vernon School, we take pride in our dedication to academic excellence and diversity. With over 900 students in grades PK3-8th and a ranking among America's top schools by U.S. News, our students, staff, and parents work together to foster growth and learning in all areas. Our core belief, R.O.A.R. (Respect Others and Rise), reflects our commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

We offer various programs and extracurricular activities, including an award-winning Debate Team, Multicultural Night, and a reinvigorated Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Students can also participate in sports teams, robotics, Project Lead the Way, and Spanish Bilingual and ELL programs. Additionally, we provide opportunities for academic enrichment through our Honors Society, School Council, Afterschool Tutoring, and engaging Saturday Academy.
