Newark Day Center refers to itself as “An old tree bearing new fruit”. Our agency was organized in 1803 and since then has been providing educational and social services for children and families. Our early childhood program is located at 305 Halsey Street, at a historic landmark that has served generations of children. We provide early care and educational services for children 3 months through 6 years of age. Our innovative and holistic early childhood program gives children the opportunity to grow socially, physically and cognitively. We are currently serving over 200 children. Our program employees are highly qualified certified teachers who are fully aware and trained to implement the most current educational initiatives for young children. Our playground is a park-like setting that allows children to extend their learning with outdoor activities including gardening. Newark Day Center is your child’s “home away from home”.
