About Our School

The Newark School of Fashion & Design prepares students to explore their academic and creative potential through the lens of fashion and design by leveraging the design process across the curriculum to afford students space to imagine, problem solve, and collaborate in preparation for future success. The Newark School of Fashion & Design is powered by Parsons School of Design which gives our students a cutting-edge advantage to learning the latest aspects and advancements of fashion & design as early as high school.

*The Newark School of Fashion & Design is among the new schools that Superintendent León has opened or reopened since his appointment in May 2018.

Unique Fact

Newark School of Fashion & Design students attend the Misa Hylton Jr Fashion Camp in NYC each July. They also compete in FCCLA National fashion competitions and won 1st place. We also engage in other rich educational experiences such as fashion & design aligned trips to the Blueprint Denim Washhouse in Jersey City, NJ, Parsons School of Design, and various Fashion Week Shows.
