Established in 1975. Essex County College Child Development Center’s mission is to provide nurturing, loving, high quality child care in an inclusive setting for working families and students in Essex county. Our full day program is structured with a focus on learning and the growth and development of children. Professionally trained teaching teams intentionally guide and support children with reaching important developmental milestones using an evidence based curriculum. Learning is individualized, as every child is unique and learns at their own pace. A variety of education materials are available to children that interest and challenge them. Families are invited and encouraged to participate in the decision making process by joining our Parent Advisory Board and Parent Center activities. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served daily. Our Center environment is clean, hygienic and very inviting. Registration is open all year round. Preschool is free for all eligible Newark residents. The Programs for Parents subsidy is accepted with toddler registration.
